Hello my Name is Shannan T Wright
It is my Honor to serve our great community once again as a Newly Elected School Board Member of District 3.
I came to Alamogordo, NM in 1978. I graduated from Albert Lea Central Senior High School in Albert Lea Minnesota at the age of 18, I grew up on a
Dairy Farm. I was involved in 4-H, FFA, Football, Baseball & Track &Church League Softball. Right after High School, I joined the US Air Force where I took an Oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America, I was a Jet Engine Tech/Mechanic, Studied and Passed all the CDC Courses, and worked at the 479 th Test Cell on the T-38 Trainer Aircraft. I was sworn in again on 2 January 2024 for the APS School Board by the Honorable Judge Stephen Ochoa at the Otero County Courthouse & I vow to keep that Oath until the end!
I served 4 years in the USAF & was Honorably Discharged as a Buck Sergeant. I met my Wife Tammi Grady in 1979 & was married to her in June of
1980. We have been married for nearly 44 years & have 3 amazing children, Troy Wright & wife Sarah Co-Owner of General Hydronics Plumbing, Dusty Wright Co-Owner of General Hydronics Plumbing & my daughter Lexi & husband Matt Michael who is a Pipeline welder in Midland right now. We have 10 Amazing Grandchildren: Dyson 14, Kylee 13, Tatum 12, Carter 8, Landon 14, Brody 11, Presli 7, Jagger 6, Messer 5 & Tullsa a newborn who is 4 weeks old.
I worked at and Co-Owned Polson & Grady and General Hydronics Inc. over the past 40 years, 8 months, and 13 days retired in August of 2020. I have served on the Center of Commerce Board, The Worship Center Board, Chair of Alamogordo Parks and Rec Board, USSSA Coed Softball Area Director, I Coached JV Soccer for the Alamogordo High School, Alamogordo City Charter Committee Vice Chair, Past Chair of the Alamogordo Forum Membership Committee, and currently a member of MainGate United along with a few other Organizations over the years.
Tammi & I currently own & manage STWF LLC Construction, 308 LLC VRBO in Ruidoso, Germ Buster Sanitizing Business and own the Waffle & Pancake Property.
My family and I are deeply rooted and committed to Alamogordo & Otero County & It’s well-being! We want this Community to be a place where all
children want to learn, work, and raise their families as well as serve and be an asset to their community.
When my children were young from the ages of 4-JV Age I Coached Youth Baseball, Basketball, Soccer and also Men’s, Women’s, Girls, Co-Ed and Church
league Slow Pitch Softball I also had the Privilege & Coached Boys U-11 to U14 Boys State Cup Soccer & Girls U-11 to U13 State Cup Soccer. In 1996 I was nominated and received Otero County Boys Youth Soccer Coach of the Year, New Mexico Boys Soccer Coach of the Year, Region IV Southwest United States Boys Coach of the Year, United States National USYSL Boys Coach of the Year and the 1997 United States Olympic Committee Developmental Boys Coach of the Year, I carried a Class D Soccer License.
