Policy J-5350 JLCD (for High School Requirements) states: High school students may carry medications in the following situations... • They do not require supervision to take their medication(s) NOTE: Those students who do require supervision/monitoring will follow the procedures for Elementary and Middle School Students. •The medication is not a controlled drug, such as Ritalin, codeine, morphine, etc. •The medication is in the original container, which has a legible, professional label. •The student carries no more than two doses in the container. •Parents/guardians should be aware of students carrying medication.
