Alamogordo Public Schools COVID Mitigation Levels (COMITL)

Alamogordo Public Schools is committed to keeping our students and employees safe, keeping schools open for face-to-face learning, and keeping our athletics teams playing.

The district is using a 14-day rolling COVID positivity rate (percentage of positive cases among enrolled students and assigned employees) by location/group (school, district office, team, activity) as the deciding factor to move to heightened COVID Mitigation Levels (COMITL), or to consider a temporary transition to hybrid or full remote learning.

The superintendent, school principal, and district health staff will consider if, and for how long, a transition to hybrid or full remote learning may be necessary if a school reaches Echo level.

The chart below will be updated each school day.
